Restore
using Windows Explorer
We
highly recommend that when you need to restore a file, you
go through Windows Explorer and manually copy the file over,
rather than using the 'restore' functionality of Automatic
USB Backup. In our experience, users mainly want to restore
a single file or directory, and when they restore the WHOLE
archive they inadvertently overwrite a file they did not
mean to. Instead, locate your USB drive in Windows Explorer,
open the \BackupUSBArchive\, and navigate the subdirectories
to the file or directory you want restored. Take a look at
the files there, making sure they're the versions you want
to use. Then manually copy them over to their original
locations on your hard drive after you're 100% these are the
files you want to revert to.
